About the Opportunity

CJ Campbell Insurance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Account Manager, Commercial Lines, based in Calgary, Alberta.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for assisting the Commercial Providers, maintaining and expanding the book of small to medium enterprises. You will provide customers with prompt service by giving advice, explanations of insurance contracts, and discussing customer concerns.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receiving and processing all incoming Commercial correspondence
  • Providing quotes to customers and reviewing existing coverage
  • Updating customer file information and notifying clients of changes in coverage
  • Communicating with insurers and negotiating with underwriters on customers' behalf
  • Following up with adjusters on claims status and obtaining information requested by underwriters
  • Assisting with completing applications, issuing certificates, and binding coverage
  • Gathering data for third parties, such as banks, lawyers, and auto dealerships
  • Performing duties of Sales Producers in their absence
  • Utilizing and updating Policy Works & EPIC system

More About You

To qualify, candidates must either possess or be able to obtain at least a Level 1 Alberta Insurance Council (AIC) General Insurance License. Additionally, it is essential you have a minimum of 1–3 years of industry experience, preferably in commercial insurance. If you possess CAIB equivalents, we strongly encourage you to apply, and we will assist you in transferring your license.

The following skills and experience will be strong assets:

  • Familiarity with software like EPIC, Policy Words and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service over the phone
  • Ability to anticipate business and client needs and provide proactive assistance
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering clear and effective communication within the team and with clients
  • Willingness to learn and understand various processes within the organization, as well as all aspects of commercial insurance.
  • Proven adaptability to roles and responsibilities as needed
